About the Show
The story surrounds the Frake family, who are getting ready for the Iowa State Fair with high hopes for winning prizes and having fun. Romance blossoms, young people discover their dreams, and everyone sees the world from a different point of view as they enjoy the fun and excitement of the fair events and contests. State Fair features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and a book by Tom Briggs & Louis Mattioli.
