About the Show
Archy & Mehitabel is based on characters created in 1918 by New York newspaper columnist Don Marquis. The poetic Archy would write Marquis’ column for him by hurling himself onto the keys of the typewriter. Archy’s stories of the city from a bug’s-eye view form the basis of this musical.
