About the Show

The Broward Center presents Cirque Mechanics-Birdhouse Factory in the Au-Rene Theater. Created and performed by Cirque du Soleil veterans and performers from the Pickle Family Circus and Moscow Circus, the show takes place in a factory where the workers are acrobats and the machines are circus props.

Contortionists will perform on a turntable powered by unicyclists, trapeze artists fly high thanks to the spinning of an acrobat inside a giant gear-like wheel and trampoline wall artists defy the laws of physics by virtually flying and walking on air.

The show draws its inspiration from the masterful industry murals of Diego Rivera, the cartoon contraptions of Rube Goldberg and the slap-stick style humor of Charlie Chaplin’s film Modern Times.
