About This Show

This dark, electrifying comedy follows a young couple’s struggle to cope with marriage, work and the day-to-day efforts of caring for their handicapped child. As their problems escalate, they resort to fantasy and humor to escape from the drudgery of everyday life. Joe Egg, by Peter Nichols, is one of the most bittersweet, poignant and bitingly comedic plays of the modern theater. Richard Hamburger directs.
