About This Show

Dot DiPrima, a bright seventeen-year-old, is diagnosed with Leber’s Optic Atrophy, a disease that causes sudden onset blindness. As her vision worsens, Dot’s life turns upside down. She falls in love, forges unique friendships and
begins the process of building a new family for herself. Claudia Zelevansky directs this new play by Melanie Marnich.

Dallas Theater Center’s InPerspective series, a free humanities series that places each play in a broad cultural context, will feature Blur playwright, Melanie Marnich. DTC Artistic Associate and Big D Festival
of the Unexpected Producer Melissa Cooper will moderate the session. The next InPerspective, held in conjunction with DTC’s production of Blur, will take place Sunday, January 27 immediately following the matinee, which will begin at 2 p.m.
