About This Show

Al Lewis and Willie Clark played vaudeville as a team for 43 years, keeping audiences rolling in the aisles. Offstage, they were in a constant mortal conflict that has kept them apart for 11 years after their retirement. What happens when efforts are made to reunite them to perform their famous “Doctor” sketch for a television show on the history of American comedy? Neil Simon’s comedy classic is the Downtown Cabaret Theatre’s first departure from musical theatre to straight comedy, and sure to make you laugh until you too need a doctor.
