About the Show

Broadway veterans Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin) and Joseph Stein (Fiddler on the Roof) bring a “new” version of their 1976 musical The Baker’s Wife to The Norma Terris Theatre. When the new Baker arrives in a rural French village, all is well until his beautiful young wife runs off with the local handyman, driving the Baker to distraction and the villagers to breadlessness. This wry musical comedy is filled with jealousy, lust, revenge, and…pastries. Gordon Greenberg directs a cast headed by Christiane Noll.
