Making Merry

Stories on Stage presents Making Merry, a delightful selection of some of the best short stories about the holidays read by noted stage and film actors Malachy McCourt, Jamie Horton, Gabriella Cavallero and Charlotte Booker.

Beloved New York storyteller Malachy McCourt performs “Christmas Morning” by Frank O’Connor. Jamie Horton, long-time star of the Denver Center Theatre Company, returns to town to read “A Child’s Christmas in Wales” by Dylan Thomas. Last year’s audience favorite, “A Christmas Memory” by Truman Capote, is reprised by Gabriella Cavallero, recently seen in Living Out at the Denver Center. And Charlotte Booker, currently performing in the Denver Center’s Season’s Greetings, performs “The Thieves Who Couldn’t Help Sneezing” by Thomas Hardy.

The program is followed by milk and cookies and an optional conversation with the actors about the performance.
