About This Show

It’s winter solstice in the small town of Graupel Bay (inexplicably located nowhere near a body of water). On the shortest day of the year–heading into the longest night–what might we find in a peaceful little town such as this? At any moment, we might come upon Mrs. Hooks, intent on making her molting bird a feather coat, or Bruce Bentley who has made a hobby of photographing snowflakes or Polly Soldonovich, a precocious girl never allowed out after dark. If we care to look in windows we may spy Lady Fergus in bed with grossly swollen feet, angry at the racket from her next door neighbor, Clark Williams, who seems to do nothing but watch holiday movies (and, furtively, the comings and goings of dear Mrs. Hooks) from his comfortable, well-worn chair. Or maybe we’d see Larry Lunelia, who, to the best of our knowledge, does nothing at all while the sun is still shining. Winter in Graupel Bay is a series of small town photographs set to life.

No Performance Sunday, December 3rd.
