About This Show

The regional premiere of The Drawer Boy is directed by Jane Page. Two Canadian farmers, World War II veterans and boyhood friends, whose lives are based on stories and ritual, share a near-mythical tale about love and loss after the war. Their lives are comically disrupted when a young actor shows up at their door wanting to live and work with them as research for a play he and his fellow actors are developing. TIME magazine picked The Drawer Boy as one of the Ten Best of 2001.
