The Elvis Birthday Tribute

Could Elvis Presley ever have imagined the “Elvis” cottage industry that
would flourish following his death? The innumerable Elvis tribute
artists…from slick Vegas performers to cheesy bachelorette party-for-hire
impersonators. And then there are the thousands of purported Elvis
“sightings” that just won’t seem to die, or the Elvis cable channel movie
marathon weekends, and, of course, the fan pilgrimages to Graceland. Elvis,
it appears, is as popular as ever.

The Elvis Birthday Tribute recreates the memorable Elvis eras from his rockabilly beginnings through the Las Vegas comeback years. Serious Elvis followers, rock music fans and lovers of live musical theater are treated to 50-plus Elvis songs, with the tribute artists decked out in replicas of The King’s performing wardrobe. D.J. Fontana peppers the evening with intimate Elvis anecdotes, and the performers are all backed by The Fabulous Ambassadors’ Elvis Tribute Orchestra.
