About This Show

Set in the boudoir of Tallulah Bankhead both before and after a re-election party for Harry S. Truman, Tallulah showcases Kathleen Turner as the infamous actress who was credited with “the manners of a Southern belle, the language of a drill sergeant, the daring of a trapeze artist and the talent to become the greatest actress of all time.” As Bankhead consoles her friend Tennessee Williams, the audience gets a riveting look at the woman herself: a whirlwind of passion, petulance, drugs, alcohol and attitude!
