About This Show

This one-woman, tour-de-force comedy especially for parents by Chicago actor/writer Tracy Egan is based on her daughter’s kindergarten year. Forget college, the real “letting go” for parents comes when they strap a backpack on their child and send them off to kindergarten – along with those looming questions like “will the other kids be smarter and better behaved?” Parents themselves metaphorically return to grade school when their children begin it, and themes of regression, competition and the basic desire to “fit in” and “be liked” surface during the kindergarten field-trip, the parent-teacher conference and the PTA meeting.
