The Chicago Landmark Project

About This Show

Theatre Seven of Chicago presents The Chicago Landmark Project, a production that combines twelve world premiere short plays about specific Chicago places, written by a diverse lineup which includes some of Chicago’s most acclaimed playwrights, including J. Nicole Brooks, Brett Neveu and Marisa Wegrzyn. Each of the project’s twelve short plays is set in a different zip code, and tells a story based on a specific Chicago location ranging from famous attractions such as Navy Pier to lesser-known Chicago neighborhood landmarks, including Thillens Stadium and the Steel Flags above the entrance to Humboldt Park. Each play varies dramatically in tone, style and time period, while exploring our city’s wealth of history from as many perspectives as possible.
