About This Show

The Bacchae is Euripides’ classic tale of the Women of Thebes drunk with the madness of Dionysus, and the ultimate tragedy of going to war with the gods. This cut up adaptation explores themes of nature vs. structure, government vs. religion, and ultimately lets us draw our own conclusions about freedom, self-expression, and the definition of right and wrong. Emma Dweck directs.
