About This Show

Galileo, Galilei is an irresistible combination – America’s most celebrated composer, Philip Glass, and the Goodman’s endlessly inventive Manilow Resident Director, Mary Zimmerman, blending their talents to paint the life of the brilliant but flawed genius that was Galileo. Glass, a pioneer of minimalist music, is a true renaissance man, composing for theater, opera, sympony, dance, and film.
