About This Show

Noble Fool Theater’s smash hit, interactive Irish comedy Flanagan’s Wake returns to the Metroplis on select Tuesdays through January 28. Grieve as only the Irish can as the show transports audiences back to the fictional village of Grapplin, Ireland, where the townsfolk are gathering to tell tales, sing songs and mourn the passing of one of their own, Flanagan. Come pay your respects to the glowering Mother Flanagan and to poor grieving fiancée, Fiona Finn. Listen to a eulogy written by County Sligo’s best writer, Mickey Finn. Tip a pint with Flanagan’s best friend Brian Ballybunion. Cross yourself with blessings from Father Fitzgerald, or cross your fingers that local pagan Kathleen Mooney doesn’t cast a spell on you. Mayor Martin O’Doul presides over this traditional Irish wake with an iron hand (and a parched throat) as all try to decide what to do with the fabled Flanagan land.

There are no performances October 15; November 5, 19, and 26; or December 24 and 31.
