Cinderella in Muddy York

Set in 1834, Cinderella in Muddy York is a uniquely Canadian telling of the fairy tale. The classic fairy tale characters are recast as the pioneering local inhabitants of “muddy” York as it is about to be renamed Toronto. Cinderella overcomes the petty social climbing of her stepmother and stepsisters, and gets herself to the prestigious Lieutenant Governor’s Ball, where she meets her soulmate, Mr. Princely Charming.
