Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum's Summer Season of five main stage productions kicks off on June 2 with Coriolanus, William Shakespeare's searing tragedy about a leader who has nothing but contempt for the common people.
Also on the main stage, opening June 3: Theatricum's signature production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, in which the company's magical outdoor setting in the Topanga woods is transformed into an enchanted forest inhabited by lovers both fairy and human.
Opening June 16: The Crucible, Arthur Miller's timeless — and timely — tale of truth on trial.
Opening June 30: Enid Bagnold's delightful classic, The Chalk Garden, starring members of the Geer family.
Opening July 28: Haiti, William DuBois's historical drama, written in 1938 for the Federal Theatre Project, about the overthrow of the colonial Haitian government by Toussaint L'Ouverture.
All main stage productions perform in repertory through Sept. 30 at Theatricum's spectacular outdoor venue in the heart of Topanga.
