About This Show

The year is 1943 at a train station between the French and German border. Entertainer Guy de Bonheur has one chance at freedom before his derailed train bound for a concentration camp gets moving again. Without the members of his troupe, and only a few rag-tag props and his imagination, Bonheur, like the fabled storyteller Scheherazade before him, spins the tales of 1001 Arabian Nights as though his life depends on it, understanding, in the process, what it really means to be set free.
