Conceived by potter/actor Libby Zilber and developed collectively by the performers (Libby Zilber, Lluis Valls, and Jubilith Moore), The Clay Play is based on the traditional Japanese theater forms of Noh and Kyogen. The play explores the inner dialogue of an artisan as she creates her work, turning the “everyman” artist into a potter to examine how to justify an artist’s path with the consciousness of human suffering.
There is a preview performance on Wednesday, May 8 at 8:00pm.
