New York City
In this new visit with the female characters of one of America’s greatest playwrights we see glimpses into Williams’ own life as a son to a single mother and brother to a mentally disabled sister, and how some of his early women in his one act plays went on to mature into the most powerful matriarchs, sexually repressed ingénues, and tragic female victims of the American stage; now populating his better-known works such as The Glass Menagerie, A Streetcar Named Desire, Summer and Smoke, and more. Co-conceived by Artistic Director, Craig A. Miller, and company Dramaturge, Lennie Dean, this evening is sure to be a perfect companion to our G. K. Hardt production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
