Using masks, monkeys, music and their trademark physical comedy, the internationally acclaimed Dell’Arte Company takes on Molière’s Tartuffe in a new adaptation of the classic 18th Century comedy.
The play’s title character is a religious charlatan who takes over a family’s life until the tables are turned by virtue of his own excesses. Considered one of Molière’s most provocative and timeless works, the comedy riffs on the theme of religious hypocrisy while delving into the belief that our own values are the only right ones and that if others would behave as we do, the world would be a much better place.
