Hijra

It is the Bombay wedding season when ambitious mothers hunt for future brides and grooms to the music and dancing of the HIjra – the crude, rude and lewd cross-dressing men who, according to tradition, have the ability to grant wishes and cast spells. Nil’s mother is intent on finding him a nice docile wife to take back to America, but Nil has other plans. He has fallen in love with a handsome boy named Raf and is determined not to be separated from him. They hatch a plan to smuggle Raj into the country as his wife.
