Bay Area Playwrights Festival

About the Show

The Playwrights Foundation’s 26th Annual Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF) includes a special live appearance and tribute to 2003 Pulitzer Prize winner Nilo Cruz, whose first works were recognized and developed by BAPF early in his career. In continuation of the organization’s goals of discovering and promoting new dramatists, five full-length plays, 4 short plays, and one commissioned playwright were chosen for inclusion in this year’s festival from among 300 submissions. The festival fosters ongoing relationships between playwrights, their artistic collaborators and the theaters that can produce them.
