About the Show
Sledgehammer’s first full production at the 10th Avenue Theatre is the West Coast Premiere of Charles Mee’s Chiang Kai Chek. Ostensibly a theatrical profile of Taiwan’s post-war dictator, this highly theatrical play gradually reveals itself as a meditation on the excesses of power unchecked and an ideological imagination uncensored.
