In this world premiere comedy, Stage Directions, tension erupts between two actors during a rehearsal for a play about African American men on the “down low.” When one of the actors expresses discomfort over a scripted stage kiss with another man, the director and playwright must step in to resolve the situation. The play deals with serious issues, yet in a witty, entertaining, and often hilarious way.
Stage Directions closed a critically-acclaimed six-week run at [Inside] the Ford on February 29 as part of the Hot Properties Series. It is the first production in the four-year old series to transfer to another venue.
