Rocket Man: The Music of Elton John

The final concert event of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles 24th season is not like the typical chorus concert but a musical event unlike any other in the 24-year history of the Chorus. Rocket Man: The Music of Elton John rocks the Alex Theatre from the opening moments of Benny and the Jets through such Elton John classics as “Your Song,” “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” and “Hakuna Matata;” A coming-out medley includes: “The Cage,” “Harmony,” “Have Mercy on the Criminal,” “Club at the End of the Street,” “The One,” “Candle in the Wind,” “Talking Old Soldiers,” “Honky Cat,” “Blue Eyes,” and Act I ends with “My Strongest Suit” from AIDA.
