Lord of the Flies

Blood. Smoke. Sun-In Hair Lightening Spray. This bold re-visioning of Lord of the Flies thematizes the tension between masculine and feminine behavior. If women are provided with the same language, environment, and tools, will they devolve into barbarity or find balance? How much influence does gender even have over the human heart? Through a striking synthesis of realism and theatrical meta-narrative, we hope to discover new methods of being that exceed the original boundaries of the work, while re-energizing a beloved classic. This production is entirely student produced.
