In the thick of the Korean War, December 1950, US Army nurse Lieutenant Hah Nah Song finds herself in her father’s hometown in Kaesung where her Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) unit has set up medical camp. Five years earlier, in the wake of Korean Liberation, her father hastily returned to reclaim his confiscated house from a Japanese lord and has since gone missing. Hah Nah is now torn between her duty as a battalion nurse, and her desire to look for her father, as the war intensifies during the brutal Korean winter.
