Recently honored by the CA State Senate and Governor Schwarznegger, Legendary Broadway and film star Carol Channing performs songs from her many hit shows at a scholarship benefit at Cal State San Bernardino.

Actress Carol Channing has been meeting with Governors nation-wide, from Arnold Schwarzenegger in California to John Lynch in New Hampshire, regarding the importance of Arts Education in the public schools K through College, and the message is being received. In fact on Sept 6th, while Carol appear before the CA State Legislature on behalf of Arts in Education and they surprised her with three presentations/proclamations – one made by Governor Schwarzenegger himself.

Channing starred in the hit 1960s Broadway show Hello Dolly as matchmaker Dolly Gallagher Levi, through more than 5,000 performances without ever missing a single show. She received a Lifetime Achievement Tony award in 1995 for a career that has included shows such as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Lend An Ear. She also won a Tony in 1964 for Hello Dolly.
