REPRISE! Broadway’s Best begins their 2004-2005 season with the 1947 Lerner and Loewe musical, Brigadoon. This is the timeless story that transports us to the enchanted green hills of Scotland, to a town of idyllic peace which appears on no maps and only comes to life for one day in each century before dissolving back into the mist. When Tommy, a vacationing American stumbles into this quaint 17th century villiage and meets Fiona, a 19 year-old beauty, they immediatley fall in love. However, Fiona cannot leave Brigadoon without breaking the centuries-old magic spell, thereby dooming all her friends and relations. On the other hand, if Tommy chooses to stay with her, he must leave behind everything and everyone in the modern world that he knows. This is a romantic fairy tale musical the whole family will enjoy.
