Angel Street

Set in 1880s London, Angel Street concerns well-to-do Bella Manningham. She fears for her sanity as household items go missing and her husband accuses her of being remiss in her daily responsibilities. Her apprehensions are not entirely without foundation: Her mother died insane, and Bella is fearful of inheriting her mother’s infirmity. Bella receives a visit from Detective Rough, who believes in her sanity and suspects Jack Manningham of sinister doings. Rough is challenged to find evidence of Jack’s misdeeds before Bella is consigned to a terrible fate. Will Rough be in time?
