Active as a violinist and conductor, Benjamin Thacher, a Cape Cod native, enjoys an extensive concert career performing on four continents. He has performed in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Jordan Hall, and other major venues. He has collaborated with some of the world's most noted conductors, including John Williams, Itzhak Perlman, Christoph Eschenback, Benjamin Zander, Ivan Fischer, Maxim Shostakovich, and Joseph Silverstein. As a violin soloist, Ben has performed with the Cape Cod Symphony, the Nashua Symphony, Metrowest Symphony, and Cape Sinfonietta. He is director and conductor of the Nashoba Youth Symphony in Westford, MA. Winner of several prizes and awards, he currently studies with Donald Weilerstein at the New England Conservatory.
