American Repertory Theater welcomes the icon of Polish theatre, Krystian Lupa , to the US for the first tme to direct Three Sisters-Chekhov’s magnificent drama of love and anguish in a provincial Russian town. Lupa is internationally renowned as one of the greatest theatre artists of our time. His productions occupy a vast canvas, but capture the minutest fluctuations of the soul. This version of Chekhov’s masterpiece is so highly anticipated that it has already been invited to the prestigious Edinburgh International Festival.
