The Vagina Monologues

Taking a break from her weekend job as a Patriots cheerleader, Elizabeth Marie Hanson is appearing as an actress onstage in a benefit performance of The Vagina Monologues. Like many women, Hanson is stunned to learn that one in three women will experience violence during her lifetime, which is often caused by someone she knows. As a volunteer performer, Hanson hopes to raise awareness about this issue.

V-Day is a global campaign committed to empowering women to create a world free of violence. Every year between February and March, they invite communities around the world to present productions of The Vagina Monologues to raise money and awareness to stop violence against women and girls.
