Variety calls The Sunshine Boys, "...an affectionate, convulsingly funny, touching comedy... one of the best plays of Neil Simon's phenomenal career." It's the story of two aging vaudevillians Willie Clark and Al Lewis (Van Patten), two former partners who haven't spoken to each other since retirement, are reunited for a television special in a salute to vaudeville. The production stars Dick Van Patten, best known for his leading role on the long-running sitcom Eight is Enough. He has also appeared in over twenty feature films, including Spaceballs, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and High Anxiety, and has been honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This production replaces the previously announced An Empty Plate. Everyone who has purchased tickets to An Empty Plate will receive tickets for the corresponding performance of The Sunshine Boys at no additional charge.
