The Stendhal Syndrome is made up of two fascinating and funny short plays, Full Frontal Nudity and Prelude & Liebestod), by the renowned and always controversial Terrence McNally. The Stendhal Syndrome takes its title from a psychological phenomenon that occurs when a person exposed to a work of art is emotionally–or even physically–overwhelmed by it. These two plays explore the idea of arts’ effects with humor, frankness and eroticism. Tara O’Keefe directs.
