About This Show

A fairy tale told in high comic style, The Love of Three Oranges is an Italian classic in the great Commedia dell’Arte tradition of zany characters, convoluted plots and plenty of slapstick. Unless someone can make him laugh, the kingdom’s beloved prince will die of terminal hypochondria. He’s been cursed by an evil witch and the funniest jester in the world is called in to save him. Unfortunately it is not the famous jester who makes him laugh, but the witch who cursed him in the first place and she doesn’t like being laughed at. She curses the prince yet again. This time he will fall desperately in love with three magical oranges, actually enchanted princesses, for whom the prince will risk any danger — if he could only find them.

There is a special opening night performance on Thursday, November 16 at 8pm.
