About This Show

Dream Out Loud Productions presents Jonathan Larson’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Rent, a tale of love and hope among a community of bohemian artists in New York City’s Lower East Side at the end of the twentieth century. Based on thematic elements from Puccini’s La Boheme, Rent explores a year in the lives of a small circle of friends and artists living their dreams and celebrating life while facing their demons and the reality of a world of family and friends living and dying of AIDS.
