Poppy Champlin – Comedian

Poppy tackles tough subjects with ease. In this comedienne’s hands we can laugh at life’s most formidable perils…and laughter that ravages fear is the best kind of all.

She is originally from Rhode Island, where she attended U.R.I. and graduated with a BFA in Theatre. Poppy then moved to Chicago to study the fundamentals of improvisational comedy at the famed Second City. After of a year at the training center and hobnobbing with the likes of Chris Farley and Mike Myers Poppy hit the road.

Poppy explodes onto the stage with a mountain of energy, and an East Coast savvy that demands the audience’s attention. Her material appeals to both men and women and ranges from sports, relationships and politics, to flying in your lingerie. In addition, Poppy seasons her act with songs, sound effects and some killer impressions.
