Inspecting Carol

The comedy centers around a professional theater company who are rehearsing for its 13th version of the annual holiday cash cow. The company is nearly bankrupt. Before approving an annual grant, an inspector from the National Endowment for the Arts is sent to investigate. To top it off, an aspiring actor comes in to audition, is hired, and naturally is mistaken for the inspector! Described as the perfect alternative to The Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol.
