Almost Asleep

Almost Asleep, by Julie Hébert, is a whispered opera of the mind. Five female characters represent different aspects of one woman’s thoughts as she falls asleep one night after a confusing, humiliating encounter with her male employer earlier that day. In this semi-conscious state, she battles with herself, and accidentally triggers the release of long-repressed events.
