About this show

TheatreZone presents Actor's Revenge, a festival of actor selected plays. The company invited actors to submit proposals for a play that they had long wanted to perform, and felt the opportunity was unlikely to come their way. Proposals were judged by a panel of fellow actors and audience regulars solely on the quality of the actor's past work and their passion for the production. Actors go through their careers subject to the whims of others. Producers pick the plays, directors decide if you will be cast. Even if you give a fabulous audition- someone else may feel you are too tall, too fat, too pretty, ugly, old, young, or just plain wrong. Time can also be merciless- and you wake up one day realizing you are now too old for that role you've always longed to perform! Now, for the first time, some of the finest actors who have worked with TheatreZone over the years have a chance to call the shots! They pick the play, the director, the approach, and cast themselves in the role of their dreams. The performance schedule is: Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard Actor: Stephen Libby, Director: Devon Jencks March 3-12, Thursday-Saturday 8:00, Sunday March 6 at 3:00 & 7:00 A Woman Alone by Dario Fo and Franca Rame & Self-Torture and Strenuous Exercise by Harry Kondoleon Actor: Shelley Brown, Directors: Ted Kazanoff and John Barrett March 17-26, Thursday-Saturday 8:00, Sunday March 20 at 3:00 & 7:00 The Zoo Story by Edward Albee Actor: Michael McKeogh, Director: Julia Noulin-Merat Mar. 31-Apr. 9, Thursday March 31 at 8pm, Friday and Saturday at 7pm, Sunday April 3 at 3pm Danny and the Deep Blue Sea by John Patrick Shanley Actor: Anna Waldron, Director: Matthew Kossack April 1-9, Friday and Saturday at 9pm, Thursday April 7 at 8pm, Sunday April 3 at 7pm The Grapes of Wrath adapted from the novel by John Steinbeck by Frank Galati Actor: Ann Carpenter, Director: Wanda Strukus April 14-23, Thursday-Saturday 8:00, Sunday April 17 at 3:00 & 7pm
