About the Show

Founded in 2010, CoDa (Contemporary Dance Ensemble) re-imagines dance on the campus by fostering collaboration across artistic and academic disciplines. By integrating the foundational techniques of modern and ballet with contemporary and popular forms of movement, music, and multimedia, we focus on the creation of original student and faculty work. In 2012, CoDa enthralled audiences with “LeWitticisms: A Moving Exhibit,” an evocative and vivid exploration inspired by the work of the conceptual artist Sol LeWitt. This year, the company takes Igor Stravinsky’s seminal Rite of Spring – celebrating its 100th anniversary – as a launchpad. Join us for a uniquely layered moving tapestry of dreams and rituals as we re-interpret this historic masterpiece!
