About This Show

Rarely performed, Salomé by Oscar Wilde remains controversial after all these years. It tells the tale of the beautiful Salomé, a woman desired by many, including King Herod, her own stepfather, who asks her to dance for him ? just one dance. Salomé agrees on one simple condition – that she may have whatever she asks for in return. What could possibly be the harm in that? The Dance of the Seven Veils is done. Her prize is won. And the rest is so shocking that this play was banned in Britain until 1931. With special late-night performances only, Salomé contains partial nudity and is intended for adult audiences only.
