Blackout will create a show with Shakespearean themes, motifs, characters, situations, but the show will be placed in modern times.
In order to create the show, the audience provides three things:
Something that happens to a character from one of Shakespeare’s plays that is extraordinary or supernatural. A specific plot device that happens in one of the plays (something like “mistaken identity”). Lastly, a location of one of the plays.
