Ever have a song that, like, totally gets you, man? The cast of the explosively titled new musical F#%king Up Everything does, and it's a good thing. In the rock tuner by David Eric Davis and Sam Forman, a pack of twentysomething Brooklynites try to navigate the city's complicated "indie music scene" while simultaneously falling in love and screwing everything up. F.U.E. describes its onstage posse as "hipsters" (a hot-button word, even moreso than "f#%cking"), but stars Max Crumm, Lisa Birnbaum, Dawn Cantwell, Katherine Cozumel, Jason Gotay, George Salazar, and Douglas Widick are more into playing New York stages than pounding Pabst Blue Ribbon while wearing vintage porkpie hats at industrial loft parties.

With that in mind, we asked the cast to give us the songs they use to tap into their inner-Brooklyn-rock-vagabond before hitting the stage at the Elektra Theatre . Scroll down for a look at their playlist, then stream it all via Spotify to feel like a member of the cast:
