Fosse Hands! Broadway's Pippin Toasts 500 Performances
Check out the delightful dessert made for the milestone occasion.
Broadway's Tony Award-winning revival of Stephen Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson's musical Pippin celebrated its 500th performance at the Music Box Theatre on Wednesday, July 9, with a post-matinee dessert party from Cute as Cake.
This revival of Pippin, which originated at the American Repertory Theater, melds Schwartz and Hirson's classic coming-of-age musical with the death-defying tricks of contemporary circus. Directed by 2013 Tony winner Diane Paulus, choreographed by Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse, and featuring circus creations by Gypsy Snider of Les 7 doigts de la main, the production stars Kyle Dean Massey, Ciara Renée, John Rubenstein, Annie Potts, and Charlotte d'Amboise.
