Full Casting Announced for Off-Broadway Return of Pageant — The Musical

Comedian Kevin Meaney will lead the cast of off-Broadway's Pageant — The Musical' at the Davenport Theatre beginning June 29.

Stand-up comedian Kevin Meaney (Hairspray) will serve as the host in the upcoming off-Broadway revival of Pageant, producers have announced. After a sold-out run earlier this year at the Red Lacquer Club at Lucky Cheng's, the show comes to the Davenport Theatre for a limited engagement beginning Sunday, June 29. An official opening is scheduled for July 14.

Featured in the cast will be a number of performers who took part in last February's production, including Nick Cearley, Alex Ringler, Marty Thomas, Seth Tucker, and Curtis Wiley. Nic Cory (Signs of Life) completes the company.

Pageant is written by Bill Russell and Frank Kelly, with music by Albert Evans, and is conceived by Robert Longbottom. Matt Lenz directs, with choreography by Shea Sullivan, music direction by Mark Hartman, costumes by Stephen Yearick, scenic design by Paul DePoo, lighting by Paul Miller, and sound by David Sanderson.

The production will run Sunday and Monday nights through September 1 at the Davenport, alongside the theater's current tenant, Forbidden Broadway.
